Application guidelines for Bangladesh visa

 

All visa applications must be made on the official Visa Application Form to be collected from the Embassy or downloaded from this website. Photocopy of the application form will also be accepted.

 

 Types of Visa issued and Duration of Stay:

 

·         Tourist Visa (T)            :           Maximum 2 months

·         Business Visa (B)        :           Maximum 6 months

·         Employment Visa (E)   :           Maximum 3 months

·         NGO Visa (N)               :           Maximum 3 months

·         Journalist Visa (J)        :           Maximum 1 month

Visa requirements

        ·         A filled up Visa Application Form with signature;

·         3 recent colored photographs (37 mm x 37mm);

·         Passport (having validity for at least six months and at least two unused pages).

For Business Visa, a letter from the company/organization on official letterhead stating the purpose of the visit with details of the applicant. Alternatively, a letter of invitation from the host company/business organization may also be attached.

For Employment Visa, a document of employment and a letter from the Ministry concerned/ Economic Relations Division/ Board of Investment / BEPZA recommending E Visa to be submitted with the application. Please note that ‘E’ visa will not be issued only on employer’s request or on employment document.

For NGO Visa, an employment document and a letter from the NGO Bureau of Bangladesh to be submitted.

For Journalist Visa, the application has to be submitted at least 3 weeks before the planned visit. The applicant may, therefore, submit his application and relevant documents well in advance and submit passport later upon confirmation from the Embassy.

Application for other types of visa must be submitted with relevant documents in support of the visa type. For query on other types of visa, please contact the Assistant Consular Officer (ACO) at the Embassy at telephone number + 66 (0) 2 390 5107 - 8

Note: The Embassy neither extends visa time nor reissue visa on the same supporting document which needed extension by the Passport and Immigration Department in Bangladesh.


Endorsement of “No visa required for travel to Bangladesh” seal:

 

Following categories of persons living in Thailand may apply for this endorsement:

 

·         A Bangladesh national who has obtained citizenship of another country (except of a SAARC member country).

 

·         Wife and children having foreign nationality of a Bangladesh national who obtained citizenship of another country (except of a SAARC member country).

 

·         Wife and children of foreign nationality of a Bangladesh national.

 Application for this endorsement will have to be made on the visa application form. For details of the application requirement, Assistant Consular Officer of this Embassy may be contacted.

 

The  “No visa required for travel to Bangladesh” seal remains valid till the period of validity of the passport. When a new passport is obtained, application for this seal is to be submitted afresh.

 

Office Hours and Visa Processing Time:

 

The Embassy takes  2 (Two) working days unless otherwise notified to process the visa.

 

Time for submission of visa application  : 0900 to 1200 hours (Monday to Friday)

 

Time for Delivery of Passport : 1530 to 1700 hours (Monday to Friday)

 The Embassy accepts only local currency (Thai Baht) in cash.
